Well those of you looking at this site from Sheffield will know this place
well the shop played a major part in the C64 scene in Sheffield.
You could go into this shop at any time of the day and play games on any
platform, check out all the new releases and not forgetting the pre releases
from Gremlin.
I remember waiting for games to come in to the shop, titles like The Last
Ninja, Delta, Paperboy, California Games to name just a few, then everyone
would huddle round the only 64 in the shop and wait for the new release to
load. Then there was a pecking order till you got your turn on the game.
But the wait was worth it!!

Not only did we get to see all the new releases there where always people
hanging around showing off there latest demos, music or graphics there
where a couple of demo groups that use to go in that I can remember TCC
(The Cream Crackers) X-Rays and my group AVENGERS with my old mate Mark
and this kid called Alex who lived at Hunters bar (TCC wannabe).
Maybe you know more groups. (let us know). Oh and not forgetting the fat
sweaty fuckers I think they are still beating off to Sam foxes strip poker.
The guys who ran the shop (Tony and Greggs I think) new all the guys who
came in and Greggs did the graphics for one of the TCC demos Mega Jive,
you can get this from
Cosine Compunet
The coding was done by Mule the graphics by Greggs and the music was
from the game knucklebusters by the Rob Hubbard.
Not only was this great shop in the centre of Sheffield it was also owned
by one of the best software houses of the time Gremlin Graphics.
Occasionally I was lucky enough to up to Gremlin to fetch the hoover for
the shop or to fetch sandwiches for the programmers. (mug)
I have fond memories of this shop and the C64, now looking through rose
tinted glasses, I was only 14 or 15 spending most school days in Just
Micro.
Regards to all whom where there.
